Janet Schoff – Director/Head Teacher

I have been in the business of children for over 35 years. I have raised 4 children, all adults with families of their own. For 14 years I was a licensed home childcare moving into preschool in 1995 adding 21 more years of experience with children.

My college degree is a major in Special Education from the UMF. I continue to add to my education with courses in Early Childhood, classroom management, special needs instruction, math curriculum, and more. I feel very lucky to be doing what I love—working with children and helping them to be the best they can be! As much as I teach them, the children teach me much more!

Amayah Brokenbrough – Assistant Teacher

2021 will be my first year teaching at Learning Tree Preschool! I have a degree from Colby-Sawyer College in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Art Education. I love providing a helping hand to children and encouraging their personalities to grow through creative expression. My favorite thing to watch children do is complete their goals and challenge themselves! Working with children encourages me to learn from them, along with guiding them towards success.I live in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and grew up in a large family full of young children, me being the oldest. This has most definitely encouraged my choice of career path. I love painting, drawing and sharing my love for it with children! I am excited to see where Learning Tree takes me in my future along with the experience I will gain.
